The Virgin Islands Director of Personnel Kenneth L. Hermon, Jr. has resigned his post to take up a position of the same in Fulton County, Georgia.<\/p>\n
Hermon, who has been personnel director in the de Jongh administration from 2007, said his tenure with the administration was an “educational experience” and thanked the Governor for allowing him to serve in that capacity.<\/p>\n
“My time served as a member of your Administration for eight years was an educational experience for me and I truly appreciate all that I learnt working to improve the lives of the residents of the territory,” Hermon said.<\/p>\n
Governor de Jongh said he was grateful for Hermon’s service over the years and congratulated him on his new journey.<\/p>\n
“I thank Director Hermon for his dedication and commitment to advance the Division of Personnel over the last eight years. I am especially grateful for his efforts and leadership on several high profile projects including the Retroactive Wage Commission, the Classification and Compensation Study and the Certified Public Managers Program.\u00a0<\/span>Additionally, he has been a guiding force on the Government Employees Services Commission\/Health Insurance Board of Trustees,” de Jongh said.<\/span><\/p>\n “On behalf of a grateful Virgin Islands community, I congratulate Kenny on being selected to serve as the Director of Personnel in Fulton County. Our best wishes are with him and his family as he embarks on this new endeavor,” he concluded.<\/p>\n Hermon’s resignation, submitted on October 7, is effective on November 3.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The Virgin Islands Director of Personnel Kenneth L.
