Supervisor of Elections Caroline Fawkes issued a statement on the process being used:<\/p>\n
“The early voting process that will be utilized beginning today is that electors coming will deposit their ballot in the holding bin of the DS-200 that has multiple forms of security. The ballots will be in a sealed container for safe keeping until election when the District Boards can individually count them under the scrutiny of the community. We discussed our options and found that this is the best practice that we could utilize to ensure that no voter is disenfranchised. The goal of the Boards and the Supervisor is to ensure a Fair, Accessible and Transparent Elections.
