ST. THOMAS — A man who decided to carelessly and without reason fire gunshots into the air near a St. Thomas strip club, was arrested and charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, according to Kevin Jackson, VIPD’s Public Information Officer.<\/p>\n
Jackson said at about 4:59 a.m on Sunday, an officer on routine patrol observed a man discharging gunshots into the air at the intersection of Kronprindsens and General Gade, while standing in front of a silver, four-door sedan.<\/p>\n
While the shots were being fired, patrons and employees of the nearby Club 75 hastily ran upstairs the building to take cover. They also called for police assistance.<\/p>\n
Upon arrival on the scene, officers searched the suspect for the weapon but could not find it on his body. However, a subsequent search of the surrounding area yielded the unlicensed firearm, which the suspect admitted belonged to him after a witness positively identified him as the person who had fired the shots into the air.<\/p>\n
The suspect has been identified as\u00a0Miguel Alejandro Rosario of Contant. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections for his advise-of-rights hearing after failing to make bail of $85,000.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
