CROIX &#8212;\u00a0Golden Krust Patties, a Bronx, N.Y. establishment, is recalling approximately 9,073,384 pounds of beef and chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, according to the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/wps\/portal\/fsis\/topics\/recalls-and-public-health-alerts\/recall-case-archive\/archive\/2015\/recall-071-2015-release\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service<\/a><\/span> (FSIS).<\/p>\n<p>The alert was posted on the FSIS website since April 29, however, it was only made known to the territory&#8217;s residents by the Virgin Islands Department of Health (DOH) on Friday, through a post on DOH&#8217;s <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/healthvi\/posts\/1008495575836522\" target=\"_blank\">Facebook page<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>According to FSIS, the beef and chicken products were produced on various dates from January 24, 2014 through February 26, 2015. The products are widely available in local supermarkets across the territory, and although no allergic reactions have been reported, residents should be weary of purchasing the affected food items.<\/p>\n<p>The following products are subject to recall:<\/p>\n<p>8-lb. cases containing 2-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Spicy Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n8-lb. cases containing 2-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Mild Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n8-lb. cases containing 2-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Chicken Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n12-lb. cases containing 3-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Spicy Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n12-lb. cases containing 3-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Mild Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n12-lb. cases containing 3-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Chicken Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb. cases containing \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Spicy Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb. cases containing \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Mild Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb. cases containing \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Chicken.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb. cases containing 9-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Hot Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb. cases containing 9-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Chicken Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb. cases containing 9-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Mild Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n8.5-lb cases containing 24-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Spicy Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n8.5-lb cases containing 24- count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Chicken.\u201d<br \/>\n40-lb cases containing 10-count packages of \u201cGolden Krust Jamaican Style Spicy Beef Patties.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb cases containing \u201cGolden Krust Cheezee Beef Patty.\u201d<br \/>\n15-lb cases containing \u201cGolden Krust Jerk Chicken Patty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>FSIS says the products subject to recall bear the establishment number \u201cEST. 18781 and P-18781\u201d inside the USDA mark of inspection and have an expiration date between January 24, 2015 through February 26, 2016. The products were shipped to distributors, retailers, and consumers nationwide &#8212; including the U.S. Virgin Islands.<\/p>\n<p>The problem was discovered during a routine label review by FSIS personnel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
