The Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) is advising residents to take extra precaution in their whereabouts this weekend, as weather forecast gives a bleak outlook with heavy rainfall and the potential of flooding in guts, small streams and urban areas.<\/p>\n

The advisory was issued through a VITEMA press release this afternoon.<\/p>\n

According to forecasters, increasing tropical moisture may cause widespread thunderstorms with dangerous lightning later today and into the weekend.<\/p>\n

VITEMA is asking residents to monitor various media outlets and the NOAA radio<\/a><\/span> for updated weather reports and for possible flood advisory.<\/p>\n

VI Consortium<\/em> will be giving updates of changing weather conditions throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n
