Dear Editor,<\/p>\n
I write this letter to commend the Officers at the Virgin Islands Police Department stationed on St. John. In January 2013, on a visit to St. John, I lost a pouch filled with jewelry and other important documents like my passport, social security cards for my kids and myself. I retraced my steps looking all over and never found it. Eventually, I chalked it up to a loss.<\/p>\n
To my utmost surprise and extreme pleasure, this past weekend 2 \u00bd years later, while visiting St. John, Officer Marilyn Leware, heard my name and informed me that they had a red pouch for me. We walked to the station where she retrieved it. Every item was inside!!!! I was so excited that I neglected to ask how they got it. But I thank the person who found it and the officers for securing it for me. I can\u2019t stop singing their praises and felt compelled to share this story with our community as it indicates that persons of honesty and integrity still exist in the Virgin Islands.<\/p>\n
