Sharpe announced on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The former solider was\u00a0ordered to self-surrender to the United States Marshals Service on July 15, 2015, at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>According to evidence presented at trial, from 2010 until 2011, Morales was employed as a full-time\u00a0employee with the Virgin Islands National Guard (VING) on St. Croix and at the same time she\u00a0was employed as a full-time VING employee. Morales also held a full-time contract position with the\u00a0Military Personnel Services Corporation (MPSC), which provides employee support services to\u00a0members of VING.<\/p>\n<p>The evidence also demonstrated that Morales submitted time sheets to\u00a0both the MPSC and VING for the same 40-hour work weeks over a period of 14 months.<\/p>\n<p>Morales faces a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment and fines of up to $250,000 on\u00a0each count of conviction. Her\u00a0sentencing hearing has been set for October, 20, 2015 by District Court Judge Curtis V. Gomez.<\/p>\n<p>The case was investigated by the United States Army Criminal Investigation\u00a0Command-Major Procurement Fraud Unit, Defense Criminal Investigative Service and U.S. Immigration\u00a0and Customs Enforcement&#8217;s Homeland Security Investigations. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant\u00a0United States Attorney Everard E.
