ST. JOHN — There have been three reported stabbings that took place during the ongoing St. John carnival activities over the weekend, with all three victims needing medical attention, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson made known via press release on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

According to Jackson, who revealed the information via a St. Thomas Arrests release from June 29-30, on Tuesday, June 30, at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers responded to notification of a stabbing victim being treated at the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital. The victim stated that he\u2019d been stabbed at the St. John Carnival Village earlier that morning by an unknown person.<\/p>\n

On the same day at around 1:51 a.m., a man was stabbed three times while in the area of the Battery in Cruz Bay.\u00a0The victim stated that he had been attending the carnival events and was leaving the area when a fight occurred and he felt a sharp pain to his abdomen. The victim also received wounds to the leg and arm and was transported to Myrah Keating Clinic, where he was treated and later transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Another stabbing occurred on June 30 at about 2:45 a.m. when a another man was stabbed twice\u00a0during an altercation surrounding the chain of his relative being taken. During the altercation, which occurred at the Ferry Dock in Cruz Bay,\u00a0friends of both parties joined in brawl and as a result the victim was stabbed twice and was transported to Myrah Keating Clinic, where he was treated and later transported to Schneider Regional Medical Center.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
