VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced the following arrests on St. Thomas from August 1-5.<\/p>\n

Saturday, August 1, 2015 \u2013 Clement Bruney, 51<\/strong> of Anna\u2019s Retreat was arrested and charged with grand larceny at 1:40 p.m. after he allegedly went into the Home Depot, picked up a power saw valued at $250.00 and attempted to leave the premises without paying for it. Unable to make bail of $35,000, Bruney was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n

Saturday, August 1, 2015 \u2013 Venetia Fredericks, 39<\/strong> of the Oswald Harris Court Housing Community was arrested and charged with simple assault and battery at 2:20 p.m. after admitting to officers that she\u2019d punched her daughter in the eye during a domestic dispute. Fredericks was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n

Saturday, August 1, 2015 \u2013 Francis Serieux, 42<\/strong> of Estate Bovoni was arrested and charged with aggravated assault at 2:45 p.m. after having been positively identified by the claimant as the person who had assaulted her with a belt and punched her in the face. Serieux was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n

Tuesday, August 4, 2015 \u2013 Valerie Peralta, 23<\/strong> of Crystal Gade was arrested and charged with simple assault and battery at 6:00 p.m. in connection with an incident where she assaulted her boyfriend. Peralta was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, August 5, 2015 \u2013 Rafael A. Compres, 31<\/strong> of Estate Bethany was arrested and charged with disturbance of the peace at 2:00 a.m. after having been positively identified as the person who pushed his wife in the chest and threatened to do her bodily harm with a knife. Compres was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, August 5, 2015 \u2013 Kevin Porter, 36<\/strong> of Frydenhoj was arrested and charged with simple assault and destruction of property at 8:21 p.m. after he turned himself in to officers; reporting that he had damaged an individual\u2019s vehicle and mobile phone.
