ST. CROIX — Four women were robbed at gunpoint in the wee hours of Sunday morning in the John F. Kennedy Housing Community, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on Monday.<\/p>\n
According to Jackson, at about 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, the 911 emergency call center received notification of a carjacking and immediately dispatched officers to the location. Upon their arrival, officers met with four women, the victims of the robbery, one of which was assaulted with the butt of a gun during the incident.<\/p>\n
The women, friends, said they had just came from a local nightclub and were sitting outside on a sidewalk within the housing community at about 4:10 a.m. According to the report, the women stated that they were then approached by two masked men with guns, who proceeded to order them to the ground.<\/p>\n
The perpetrators then searched the women, taking their gold chains, mobile phones, cash and the car key of one of the women; then drove off in the vehicle — a grey-colored 2014 Toyota Corolla (bearing dealer plates).<\/p>\n
The women were unable to provide a description of the suspects.<\/span><\/p>\n Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" ST.
