Lieutenant Governor Osbert Potter announced through a press release issued late Tuesday that the 2015 property tax bills have been issued to all property owners on record as of January 1, 2015.<\/p>\n

The 2015 bills will become due on September 25, 2015, and Potter is encouraging taxpayers to take advantage of the 5% discount given to property owners who pay by the due date. The 2015 bills will become delinquent if not paid by February 01, 2016, and the deadline for filing formal appeals with the Board of Tax Review is December 10, 2015.<\/p>\n

Some property owners whose informal appeals have been considered may see new assessments on their 2015 bills. The Office of the Tax Assessor will continue its efforts to review all other appeals and will make adjustments where necessary.<\/p>\n

Property tax bills may be paid online<\/a><\/span> starting with the issuance of the 2015 bills at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor\u2019s website here<\/a><\/span>. However, payment plans must still be made through the Office of the Tax Collector, according to the release.<\/p>\n

Consistent with past billings, the 2015 bill will also include information on unpaid tax years. Property owners who have not paid their prior tax year bills are encouraged to contact the Office of the Tax Collector to make arrangements for payment.<\/p>\n
