THOMAS &#8212; Another man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after the vehicle was operating became involved in an auto collision, VIPD Public Information Officer Kevin Jackson announced on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>According to Jackson,\u00a0Dysart Christopher, 29, of no specific address was charged on Sunday, September 20 in relation to the accident, which occurred on Nicholas Friday Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Unable to make bail of $500, Christopher was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest of Christopher follows another <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/virgin-islands-2\/drunk-driver-strikes-three-st-thomas-women-leaves-head-back-and-leg-injuries\/\" target=\"_blank\">drunk driving incident<\/a><\/span> that occurred here on the same day, when\u00a0Gary E. Garten, 55, of Sapphire struck three women, leaving the victims head, back and leg injuries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the police report,\u00a0the women made the move to cross after acknowledging that the first driver,\u00a0traveling eastward on the same roadway, stopped just before the speed bump allowing them to cross the street.<\/p>\n<p>But the women \u2014 who had already crossed the eastbound lane and were in the westbound lane \u2014 were struck by a Nissan Frontier, whose driver had overtaken the vehicle that had stopped in front of him allowing the women to cross the street.<\/p>\n<p>The victims were rushed to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital having sustained various non-life threatening injuries. Victim #1 sustained a contusion to the head, a broken front tooth and several abrasions about the body and face.
