ST. CROIX — As part of an ongoing initiative to support the Virgin Islands community, Scotiabank has donated 11 computers to the Central High School here on September 17, a press release the banking institution issued this morning has revealed.<\/p>\n
The presentation took place at Scotiabank\u2019s Sunny Isle branch. On hand to accept the donation were the Principal of Central High School Janasse Sinclair, Administrative Secretary Carmen Gomez, and School Monitors Randall Knight and Leroy Simmonds.<\/p>\n
Scotiabank Sunny Isle Branch Manager Derrick Martin and Assistant Manager Personal Banking Michelle Branch-Samuel assisted with the presentation.<\/p>\n
\u201cScotiabank is delighted to have the opportunity to give back to our Virgin Islands community; in this case to Central High School. We hope this contribution will help make a difference in the lives of students seeking to further their education,” Mr. Martin said.<\/p>\n
Principal Janasse Sinclair noted that the computers will be utilized in the school\u2019s computer lab. She expressed her gratitude on behalf of the students, parents, faculty and staff for Scotiabank\u2019s continued support of the school.<\/p>\n
Computers were also donated to Uller Muller Elementary School on St. Thomas, and will be utilized in administrative areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
