THOMAS &#8212; The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has scheduled a road closure of General Gade, from the USO Building to the traffic light by the St. Peter and Paul Catholic School, beginning Tuesday, October 13, a press release the semi-autonomous entity issued today has made known.<\/p>\n<p>Work on this portion of roadway is estimated to be completed by November 17. Traffic will be re-routed around this portion of General Gade to allow water crews to replace a deteriorated ductile iron 10-inch water main. Repair of the water line is necessary to improve water quality and pressure in the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists are asked to follow directional signs and flagmen instructions for the safety of crews, pedestrians and other drivers.
