THOMAS\u00a0\u2013 Crew members of the S\/V Prowler, a local fishing vessel, suffered injuries in a boat accident after running aground and hitting a reef on Saturday, October 17, on the western coast of this island, VIPD Media Specialist\u00a0Sakeeda Freeman announced this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ms. Freeman, seven crew members were rushed to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital to receive medical treatment having sustained various injuries ranging from lacerations, abrasions, a broken leg, minor contusions, and various injuries to the head, neck, and collar bone.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred while the crew was returning home from a fishing tournament that took place in Puerto Rico, according to Ms. Sakeeda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
