CROIX &#8212; Virgin Islands Port Authority Executive Director Carlton Dowe announced today that effective immediately, the VIPA has discontinued the practice of honoring expired parking passes.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The expired passes had been issued over the years to more than 100 individuals who were once Port Authority board members, employees, government officials and other private citizens. Mr. Dowe said these individuals will now be required to pay to park at all of the Port Authority\u2019s paid parking lots at the agency\u2019s seaports and airports territory-wide.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Mr. Dowe added that VIPA\u2019s parking lot attendants and supervisors have been given strict instructions to adhere to the Authority\u2019s parking lot policies.\u00a0 He also thanked the community in advance for its cooperation, patience and understanding while conducting business at the Authority\u2019s facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
