The Caribbean Writer<\/a><\/span>, <\/i><\/span>an international, refereed, literary journal with a Caribbean focus, is announcing a submission call for its 31st<\/sup> Edition, a press release the University of the Virgin Islands issued on Friday says.<\/span><\/p>\n

Issues unique to the Caribbean should be central to the work, or the work should reflect a Caribbean heritage, experience, or perspective, according to the release.<\/span><\/p>\n

The theme of Volume 31 is: \u201cNew Vistas: An Evolving Caribbean.\u201d\u00a0 We welcome short stories, essays, poems, interviews, personal narratives and one-act plays highlighting this theme.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only previously unpublished work will be considered and brief biographical facts must be submitted. All contact information and title of the manuscript should be on a separate page. Only the title should appear on the manuscript.<\/p>\n

The Caribbean Writer is also soliciting colorful, eye-catching, Caribbean artwork for the cover of that issue as well.<\/p>\n
