THOMAS &#8212; Kyle Michael Brumett, 24, on Friday pleaded guilty in federal court to attempted possession with intent to distribute four kilograms of marijuana, United States Attorney Ronald W. Sharpe announced.<\/p>\n<p>According to the plea agreement filed with the court, on November 24, 2015, Mr. Brumett and Jordan Andrew Foster went to the Mail Stop at Crown Bay Marina on St. Thomas to pick up a package addressed to Brumett which was tracked by the United States Postal Inspection Service (U.S.P.I.S.), and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (D.E.A.) When Mr. Foster exited the Mail Stop with the package, he was observed placing it in a vehicle that Mr. Brumett was driving. Mr.\u00a0pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana on February 10, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Brumett faces a maximum sentence of five years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine. District Court Judge Curtis V. Gomez continued Mr. Brumett\u2019s status in official detention. A sentencing date has been set for June 13, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>This case was investigated by the U.S.P.I.S. and the D.E.A. and prosecuted by Nelson L.
