Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced the following arrests and incident on St. Thomas from March 1-3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday March 1, at 10:48pm, <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Steven-Hillebrand.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Steven Hillebrand<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, 44 of an unknown address was arrested and charged with disobeying a lawful order and resisting an arrest after he was identified as the individual causing a hazard to citizens in Emancipation Garden occupying the sidewalk. Mr. Hillebrand also resisted arrest by pulling away from officers after he was placed under arrest.<\/p>\n<p>After failing to make bail of $500, Mr. Hillebrand was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday March 3, at 10:00pm, officers traveled to the Roy Lester Schneider Medical Center in response to a shooting victim. The victim said he was leaving a party at roughly 9:00 p.m. at the Paul M. Pearson Garden Housing Community, when he heard the sound of a single gunshot. Shortly after, he realized that his right calf felt numb and that he\u2019d sustained a single gunshot wound to his right calf.<\/p>\n<p>This incident is still under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday March 3, at 1:45pm, <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Brett-Kimelman.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Brett Kimelman<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, 44 of El Tuque, Puerto Rico was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by the magistrate of the Superior Court for a burglary that took place at Saga Haven Marina in March, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Unable to make bail of $1,000, Mr. Kimelman was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>V.I.P.D.
