CROIX &#8212; On Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., electrical service will be interrupted to a small section of customers on St. Croix Feeder 1A, while the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority crews install underground switches and a submersible transformer in downtown Christiansted, a W.A.P.A. press release has made known.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The release says crews will install underground switches at the intersection of Prince and Strand Streets, and a submersible transformer at the intersection of Company and Market Streets. \u00a0W.A.P.A. chose to perform this necessary service at a time that would minimize the effect of electrical service interruption to businesses in downtown C\u2019sted, the release explains.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Motorists traversing the areas where work is being performed are asked to follow signs and the flagger\u2019s instructions for the safety of crews, pedestrians and other drivers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The semiautonomous entity apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this service interruption and ensures customers that every effort will be made to restore electrical service as quickly as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
