THOMAS &#8212; A man was found dead inside an SUV in Anna&#8217;s Retreat here on Saturday afternoon around 6:00 p.m., in what Police Commissioner Delroy Richards is calling a &#8220;mystery death,&#8221; as the victim was found with two gunshot wounds to his body &#8212; one in the chest and another in the head &#8212; but the vehicle had no damage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Obviously there was more than one person in the vehicle, but what transpired is a mystery at this point,&#8221; Mr. Richards told The Consortium this morning. He said police officers were dispatched after the force&#8217;s ShotSpotter equipment detected three gunshots, and upon arrival on the scene, they found the victim sitting lifeless inside the locked vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was later identified by next of kin as <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a style=\"color: #3366ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/12802913_10209246203700091_5465594435902082680_n.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">Joseph duCreay<\/a><\/span>, 19, from the island of Dominica.<\/p>\n<p>The VIPD is asking anyone with information concerning this incident to call the Major Crimes Unit at 340-642-8449, 911 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
