ST. CROIX — The John H. Woodson Junior High School on Friday held its annual science fair, which saw 30 students — 15 seventh graders and 15 eighth graders — demonstrating their science projects based on what they’ve gleaned from the school’s science program.<\/p>\n

Science teachers\u00a0Anne-Louise Wilkins and Kaaren Tyson said the science fair has been ongoing since the school opened, and Woodson students have placed in the district fair — taking place on May 20 at the Sunshine Mall — every year.<\/p>\n

At yesterday’s event, students stood by their respective projects and waited until judges arrived to their location. Once there, the students would then describe their efforts to the judges, who base their points on a few criteria, including the project’s viability, and how well students are able to describe their work.<\/p>\n
