ST. CROIX — A man who was wanted on domestic violence and assault charges turned himself in at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman announced this afternoon.<\/p>\n

The suspect, 24-year-old\u00a0Waldemar Martinez, above,\u00a0turned himself in at the Wilbur Francis Command Police Station. He was placed under arrest and charged with second degree assault and destruction of property. No bail was given, which is in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws.<\/p>\n
