ST. CROIX — The St. Croix arm of the Virgin Islands Police Department has been on a roll in catching suspected criminals lately, announcing multiple arrests over the weekend, while issuing a separate release with the mugshots of three suspects, asking for the community’s assistance.<\/p>\n

The string of arrests continued on Sunday, as two more suspects — wanted on suspected murder and first-degree robbery charges — were apprehended, while a third was arrested on an unlawful sexual contact charge.<\/p>\n

Police arrested\u00a0Kareem Mathias<\/a><\/span>, aka “Stinky,” age 24, of Frederiksted for attempted murder. He was remanded to \u00a0the Golden Grove Correctional facility pending his advise-of-rights hearing, as no bail was set.<\/p>\n

Police also arrested\u00a0Robert Courtney Dion Bacsus<\/a><\/span>, Jr., age 21, of Frederiksted, for first-degree robbery.\u00a0Unable to make bail of $100,000, Mr. Bacsus was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility, pending his advise-of rights hearing.<\/p>\n

In a separate warrant,\u00a0Lennox P. Cabral<\/span><\/a>, age 52 of Christiansted, was arrested for unlawful sexual contact. His bail was set at $150,000, and he was remanded to the Golden Grove Correctional Facility pending advise-of-rights hearing, after failing to pay the bail amount.<\/p>\n

Still wanted as of Sunday<\/a><\/span>, were suspects\u00a0David George, Dasha Graham, and Ahmed Francis. Have you seen them? If so, police are asking for your help.
