Due to airport closures from the impacts of Hurricane Matthew and Tropical Storm Nicole, the Brandy performance scheduled for Saturday, October 8 has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 15, the Reichhold Center for the Performing Arts announced this morning. The organization, owned by the University of the Virgin Islands, is asking those with questions to call 340-693-1550.<\/p>\n
Since emerging with her three time platinum self-titled debut album in 1994 \u2013 released when Brandy was only 15-years-old \u2013 this trail-blazing pioneer has sold over 40 million albums worldwide.\u00a0 She released, \u201cNever Say Never,\u201d her five-time platinum selling album in 1998. Brandy is ranked as one of the best-selling female artists in American music history by the Recording Industry Association of America.<\/p>\n
With five studio albums to her name, it is no wonder Brandy has been able to earn scores of awards, including a Grammy, an American Music Award, two Soul Train Music Awards, two NAACP Image Awards, three Billboard Awards, four MTV Awards, six Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards, two Nickelodeon Kids\u2019 Choice Awards, and three Broadcast Music Inc. Opening for Brandy is the Virgin Islands very own songstress Kenya Eugene, who has performed on stage with Wyclef Jean, R. Humphrey said the evening will be capped off with one of Reichhold Center\u2019s famous after parties, featuring music from local disc jockey \u201cTony T\u201d of 105 Jamz.<\/p>\n
