THOMAS &#8212; The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority has scheduled an emergency road closure for St. Thomas\u2019 Beltjen Road for today, the authority made known via press release.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning at 9 a.m., Beltjen Road will be closed from the intersection by Wet Willy\u2019s, south to the intersection of Lover\u2019s Lane and Beltjen Rd. Work is estimated to be completed by 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic will be rerouted away from Beltjen Rd. to allow water crews to repair a leaking 6-inch water main in the area of the authority\u2019s Hatchett Substation. Motorists are asked to follow directional signs and flagmen instructions for the safety of crews, pedestrians and other drivers.<\/p>\n<p>WAPA apologized for the inconvenience caused by this road closure, and ensured the public that every effort will be made to restore vehicular traffic as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n<p>For additional information about the upcoming road closure and water line repair, contact WAPA Water Distribution at 775-5873 or e-mail communications@viwapa.vi.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ST.
