The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority crews have begun tree trimming and street lights repairs on the island of St. Thomas, with work expected to continue through December, the semiautonomous entity announced late Monday. Repairs will be completed in sectors. No power interruptions are anticipated as a result of these street light repairs. <\/span><\/p>\n

WAPA says While every effort will be made to maintain these schedules, it should be noted that weather events or other unanticipated circumstances may necessitate schedule revisions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Repairs are scheduled as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n

Sector 2 \u2013 November 7th<\/sup> to 18th<\/sup><\/span><\/u> \u2013 Dorothea, Bonne Resolution, Lilliendahl & Marienhoj, St. Peter Mountain Road, Lerkenlund, Misgunst, Peterborg, Magens Bay, St. Joseph & Rosendahl, Wintberg, Canaan, Solberg, Herleins Kob, Valley Road and parts of Estate Elizabeth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sector 3 \u2013 November 21st<\/sup> to December 2nd<\/sup><\/span><\/u> \u2013 Upper John Dunkoe, Frenchtown, Altona, Savan, Garden Street, Hospital Ground, Frenchman\u2019s Bay, Estate Thomas, Raphune Hill, Polyberg, Bakkero, Estate Ross, Ross and Tanabery, Lower John Dunkoe, Estate Staabland, Bellevue and parts of Estate Elizabeth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sector 4 \u2013 December 5th<\/sup> to 16th<\/sup><\/span><\/u> \u2013 Donoe, New Herrnhut, Hoffman, Charlotte Amalie, Raphune, Hawk Hill,\u00a0 Bovoni, Bolongo, Mariendahl, Nadir, Langmath, Frydenhoj, Nazareth, Ridge Road, Benner Hill, Gold Hill, Cabrita Point, Cowpet Bay and Smith Bay.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sector 5 \u2013 December 19th<\/sup> to 30th<\/sup><\/span><\/u> \u2013 Mandahl, Donoe By Pass, Anna\u2019s Retreat, Tabor & Harmony, Lovenlund, Tabor and Harmony Frydendahl, Estate Tutu, Charlotte Amalie and Cassi Hill.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sector 6 \u2013 January 2nd<\/sup> to 13th<\/sup><\/span><\/u> – Adelphi, Lindbergh, John Brewers Bay, Subbase, Contant, Crown & Hawk, Nisky, Water Island and Hassel Island.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sector 6 \u2013 December 26th<\/sup> to 30th<\/sup><\/span><\/u> \u2013 Adelphi, Lindbergh, John Brewers Bay, Subbase, Contant, Crown & Hawk, Nisky, Water Island and Hassel Island.<\/span><\/p>\n

Note: Sector 5 was completed in October.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Customers are asked to notify the Authority of any street lights near their home or business which are in need of repair by calling (340) 773-0150 on St. Croix and (340) 774-1424 for St. Thomas\/St. John. If possible, please include the pole number which is located on the silver plate on the pole. Customers can also send the information by email to communications@viwapa.vi<\/a>. If the streetlight repair request has already been made, it will not be necessary to make another request.<\/span><\/p>\n

Motorists are asked to drive cautiously in the areas where street light repairs or tree trimmings are in progress. The Authority would like to thank the community for their cooperation and patience during this project.<\/span><\/p>\n
