ST. THOMAS — An 18-year-old and 21-year-old were shot on Wednesday night at the Oswald Harris Court Housing Community here, sending the younger man into surgery, while the 21-year-old was still being treated.<\/p>\n
That’s according to V.I.P.D. Media Specialist Sakeeda Freeman, who issued a press release about the incident this morning.<\/p>\n
Ms. Freeman said that about 10:11 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital in regards to two gunshot victims. While at the medical facility, contact was made with the 21-year-old, who was being treated for a gunshot wound to his upper right arm and left rib, as well as the 18-year-old, who was being treated for a gunshot wound to his \u00a0right rib area, according to Ms. Freeman.<\/p>\n
The men said while they were at the housing community at building #3 sitting near a garbage bin, they heard multiple gunshots being fired, and started running away. Ms. Freeman said the 18-year-old was undergoing surgery, while the 21-year-old was still being treated for his wounds.<\/p>\n
The Criminal Investigation Bureau (C.I.B) and the Homicide Task Force are actively investigating all cases, according to the release.
