Honors More Than 60 Employees During Service Awards Ceremony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ST. CROIX &#8212; The executive management of the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center honored more than 60 employees Thursday evening during the hospital\u2019s annual Recognition and Service Awards ceremony, J.F.L. announced Saturday. The 69 honorees were awarded for their years of service, and employees with five-year increments up to 25 years, were presented with certificates, pins and plaques for their dedication to JFL, as well as their continued commitment to quality healthcare for the territory\u2019s residents and visitors, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p>JFL Chief of Human Resources Valdemar A. Hill, Jr. offered praise for the honorees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the Executive Team and the staff of the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital &amp; Medical Center, I congratulate all sixty nine (69) of you including the four retirees. You have been demonstrably dedicated and committed to your various jobs within this health care system for many years,\u201d Mr. Hill said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe realize that our mission \u201cto drive improvement in the health of those we serve, while exemplifying compassion and respect\u201d can only be achieved through the efforts that you have exerted over all these years. Collectively, as our CEO indicated, you have contributed 927 years of service to our institution. That is something that we all are proud of,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The four 2016 retirees had 99 combined years of service. \u201cFor the retirees, let me say to you that it is with great appreciation that we thank you for the tremendous contributions you have made to JFL.
