ST. CROIX — Police on Thursday arrested a man they say is responsible for brutally beating then raping his ex-girlfriend, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte confirmed to The Consortium Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to Mr. Dratte, at about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the victim told police that she was in her yard when her ex-boyfriend\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Miguel Crispin, above, also known as “Cocaine”, was outside her fence. The victim said she told Mr. Crispin to leave, but instead of leaving her yard, Mr. Crispin jumped over the fence, dragged the victim by her shirt and took her to an unknown address in Old Fredensborg.<\/p>\n
Mr. Crispin then locked the victim inside his home, struck her with a piece of wood to the side of her upper right arm, punched her several times in her chest, forcibly took off her underwear and proceeded to have sex with her for about ten minutes without her permission, according to Mr. Dratte.<\/p>\n
No bail was set for Mr. Crispin in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws, and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise-of-rights hearing.<\/p>\n
