ST. CROIX — Two restaurants here were voted among the best in the Caribbean by U.S.A. today, according to U.S.A Today’s Top Ten website, 10Best.<\/p>\n

Winners were chosen by a\u00a0panel of Caribbean travel experts, according to the site<\/a><\/span>, who hand-picked their favorite restaurants in the region as nominees for Best Restaurant in the Caribbean. 10Best readers had for weeks voted on their favorites.<\/p>\n

When the results came in, balter and Savant, well-known restaurants on St. Croix, came in 7 and 9 respectively. See all winners below:<\/p>\n

  6. da Conch Shack –\u00a0Providenciales, Turks and Caicos<\/li>\n
  7. balter – St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands<\/li>\n
  8. Queen\u2019s Gardens Restaurant – Saba<\/li>\n
  9. Savant – St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands<\/li>\n
  10. At Sea Restaurant – Bonaire<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    According to 10Best, a\u00a0panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick the initial 20 nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote. Experts Liliana Erasmus (10Best), Sarah Greaves-Gabbadon (JetSetSarah.com), Melanie Reffes and Chelle Walton (10Best) were chosen based on their expertise of the Caribbean region, according to the site.<\/p>\n
