Virgin Islands Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett is inviting the Virgin Islands Public to a series of town hall meetings on all three Islands scheduled for February 21-23, Ms. Plaskett’s office announced today.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese town halls are really an opportunity to have a more intimate discussion with the people of the Virgin Islands and hear the issues they want me to focus on in Washington. I anticipate the debt situation will be a topic of interest, but I also would like to discuss other federal issues impacting our community, like public land use and the National Parks Service and postal issues,\u201d said the territory’s delegate to Congress.<\/p>\n
The town hall meetings will be held on all three islands, with the first scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21 at the Great Hall on the University of the Virgin Islands\u2019 Albert M. Sheen Campus in St. Croix.<\/p>\n
The second-term congresswoman will host a town hall for St. John residents on Wednesday, February 22 at 6:30 pm in the Cleone Henrietta Maynard Legislative Hall in Cruz Bay.<\/p>\n
Plaskett\u2019s St. Thomas Town Hall is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23 at Victor’s New Hideout in Sub-Base.<\/p>\n
