ST. THOMAS — The V.I.P.D. is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a man who allegedly shot a woman today at about 6:42 p.m.<\/p>\n

According to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte, the suspect, identified as Richard Ireland<\/span><\/a>, shot the female victim twice in the area of Smart Stop near the Cancryn Bridge. Mr. Ireland was last seen fleeing the area with a firearm, and police are seeking the community’s immediate assistance to help apprehend him.<\/p>\n

The victim was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment, however her health status was not known at time of writing.<\/p>\n

If you see Mr. Ireland, do not approach him. Instead, you should immediately call 911 or the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211, according to police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
