CROIX &#8212; A fourth Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) opened today in St. Croix to provide information and help for survivors of hurricanes Irma and Maria, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The new center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The new DRC is located at:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><strong class=\"\">St. Peter\u2019s Episcopal Church, 38-44 Castle Coakley, Christiansted<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Disaster Recovery Centers offer one-on-one support to homeowners, renters and small-business owners as a result of the major disaster declarations stemming from the hurricanes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to help survivors register for assistance, provide information on the federal aid that is available, and answer questions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">The other three recovery centers in St. Croix have logged more than 4,700 visits since the first one opened on October 8. They are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, although the Rotary Club West location will be closed Sundays on October 29, November 5 and November 19.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">St. Croix\u2019s other DRCs are at:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><strong class=\"\">Rotary Club West, 40 KA-KD Estate LaGrange, Frederiksted<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><strong class=\"\">The Old Post Office Building at Church and Company streets, Christiansted<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"\"><span class=\"\"><strong class=\"\">Fire Captain Rencelliar I. Gibbs Fire Station at Parcel #1, Estate Cotton Valley, East End, Christiansted.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">St. Croix was designated for Individual Assistance under the major disaster declaration for Hurricane Maria. However, survivors of Hurricane Irma may also get their questions answered at any of the island\u2019s four recovery centers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">Survivors with connectivity may register with FEMA for assistance at\u00a0<a class=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/fema.pr-optout.com\/Tracking.aspx?Data=HHL%3d9293A%26JDG%3c%3a9%3a-%3b3%40%26SDG%3c90%3a.&amp;RE=MO&amp;RI=1731304&amp;Preview=False&amp;DistributionActionID=34839&amp;Action=Follow+Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DisasterAssistance.gov<\/a>, or by calling\u00a0<strong class=\"\">800-621-3362<\/strong>. Individuals who have a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY should call 800-462-7585 directly. Those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS) may call 800-621-3362.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">These toll-free telephone numbers operate from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (local time) seven days a week.
