The V.I.P.D. on Monday reported two alleged rape incidents that affected both male and female victims in the St. Thomas-St.John and St. Croix districts, according to V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte.<\/p>\n
Mr. Dratte said officers were dispatched to the Schneider Regional Medical Center on Sunday (no time was given) in reference to a rape incident. Upon their arrival, contact was made with a male victim, who told the officers that he was sexually assaulted by another male in the area of\u00a0Sorgenfri in St. Thomas.<\/p>\n
According to Mr. Dratte, the victim was examined by medical attendants and a rape kit was administered. The case is under investigation; the V.I.P.D. did not announce an arrest in this matter.<\/p>\n
Separately, a St. Croix woman reported to the police at approximately 7:32 a.m. on Sunday, that a male acquaintance had sexually assaulted her the day before by pinning her down on a bed and proceeding to sexually assault her, which included fondling.<\/p>\n
