The Virgin Islands Water & Power Authority announced on Friday the schedule of locations where crews will be working to restore service to customers from today, throughout the holiday weekend, to December 29. To date, more than 33,000 customers have been restored across the territory.<\/p>\n
The targeted restoration work areas include:<\/p>\n

WAPA crews and meter services personnel are deployed in many of these locations ensuring that all customers whose homes or businesses are ready to be reconnected to the electric grid, are restored. This effort is aimed at those customers who may have been bypassed or whose homes or businesses were not ready to be reenergized during the first wave of restoration. Any customer who has had damage to a meter base and\/or weather head and has completed repairs, is urged to secure certification of the repairs, in writing, from their licensed electrician. The certification must then be submitted to the Customer Service office so restoration can be scheduled.<\/p>\n
