ST. CROIX — Governor Kenneth Mapp held his second hurricane recovery press conference this year at Government House here, where he presented radio stations with checks for their work during the hurricane season. Mr. Mapp refused to provide a figure, but said all radio station owners would receive some money for their efforts through a disaster relief fund being administered by the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands.<\/p>\n
The governor elaborated on the\u00a0Emergency Home Repairs V.I. Project<\/span><\/a> he announced last week, and responded to a number of questions from the media, including two from The Consortium — the first concerning the community disaster loan issues faced by the government<\/span><\/a>, and payment for waste haulers.
