THOMAS &#8212; The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will complete collection of vegetative and construction\/demolition debris from roadside rights-of-way in St. John and St. Thomas on March 15, the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">USACE, under assignment by the FEMA, will oversee reduction and transport of all vegetative debris for disposal. At the request of the territorial government, vegetative debris will be transported to a disposal location either in or outside the continental United States, FEMA said. The vegetation will be reduced to a size and disposition required by the receiving facility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span class=\"\">On St. Croix, the Virgin Islands Department of Public Works is managing rights-of-way debris pickup and the Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority is responsible for temporary debris sites and disposal.
