{"id":62335,"date":"2018-04-11T16:50:06","date_gmt":"2018-04-11T16:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/?p=62335"},"modified":"2018-04-12T08:48:20","modified_gmt":"2018-04-12T08:48:20","slug":"ben-carson-says-he-will-visit-usvi-during-reconstruction-process","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/?p=62335","title":{"rendered":"Ben Carson Says He Will Visit USVI During Rebuilding Process"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moments after announcing $1.6 billion in aid to the U.S. Virgin Islands as part of a $28 billion federal effort to support states and territories that were affected by natural disasters, Ben Carson, secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.), told The Consortium that he will visit the territory as it rebuilds from the ruinous storms of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/featured\/pence-in-first-visit-to-usvi-says-trump-administration-committed-to-help-territory-fully-recover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Mike Pence has visited<\/span><\/a>, so too have other top Trump administration officials, including H.U.D. deputy secretary.
