Lieutenant Governor Osbert Potter on Monday announced that pursuant to Act No. 8017, property taxpayers may pay their delinquent taxes with 100 percent waiver of all interest and penalties.<\/p>\n

Mr. Potter said the waiver only applies to tax years 2015 and prior, and is effective as of April 17, 2017. Amnesty payments will only be accepted in person or via postal mail through the Office of the Tax Collector, according to the release.<\/p>\n

Mr. Potter encouraged delinquent property owners to take advantage of the amnesty and make prompt payment.<\/p>\n
