It took Mr. Petersen and his partner two years from business plan to the point of funding (they managed to raise $3 million) to get to where they currently are. The Gathering Spot has been open for two years, and there are plans for another location in Washington, DC in fall 2018 &#8212; which speaks to the success of the current strategy.<\/p>\n<p>The Consortium&#8217;s Ernice Gilbert conducted an interview with Mr. Petersen while in Atlanta on Sunday.
