ATLANTA — There were many familiar faces at the 11th Annual Memorial Weekend Picnic at Lenora Park in Snellville, Georgia, a Virgin Islands event attended by thousands<\/span><\/a>. Most of the Virgin Islanders who attend the picnic live in Georgia, but many visit from the territory and other states as well.<\/p>\n

In the video above, The Consortium’s events host, Sacha Alexander, spoke with Virgin Islanders who live in Georgia, medical evacuees airlifted following the 2017 storms, and a young entrepreneur named Ashley Douglas (seen above), among others. Watch.<\/p>\n
