ST. CROIX — A man was arrested late Tuesday and charged with third-degree assault and reckless endangerment for firing gunshots at two individuals, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has made known.<\/p>\n

Mr. Dratte said the 911 emergency call center was notified at 12:17 p.m. Tuesday of shots being fired in Mouth Pleasant West by a male individual who fled the scene after the incident.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to the scene and upon further investigation, the Criminal Investigations Bureau was able to arrest and charge 18-year-old Jose Manuel Rivera, seen above, at 5:20 p.m.<\/p>\n

Unable to make bail of $25,000, Mr. Manuel was remanded to the Golden Grove Detention Center pending his advisement hearing.<\/p>\n
