Mr. James said the last four years in the Senate had seen strong leadership from the St. Croix District, whose senators had been leading the Majority’s agenda — among them Mr. Vialet, Mr. Francis and Mr. James.

Elsewhere on St. Croix, Alicia Barnes maintained her first place position with 2,651 votes, followed by Allison DeGazon with 2,328 votes. Senators Novelle Francis and Kurt Vialet were tied in third place at 1,842 votes each.

On St. Thomas, Donna Frett-Gregory’s votes grew in the final count to 3,048. She was followed by Senator Marvin Blyden with 2,557 votes in second place, Athneil Thomas in third with 2,299, and Senator Myron Jackson in fourth with 2,227.

The Board of Elections will certify the results on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Thomas and St. Croix Elections System offices.

See full results below (if you’re using a mobile device, hold it horizontally to see full results):

PRECINCTS COUNTED (OF 30) . . . . . 30 100.00
           REGISTERED VOTERS - TOTAL . . . . . 32,330
           REGISTERED VOTERS - Democrat . . . . 32,330 100.00
           BALLOTS CAST - TOTAL. . . . . . . 9,896
           BALLOTS CAST - Democrat. . . . . . 9,896 100.00
           BALLOTS CAST - Nonpartisan. . . . . 0
           BALLOTS CAST - BLANK. . . . . . . 19 .19
           VOTER TURNOUT - TOTAL . . . . . . 30.61
           VOTER TURNOUT - Democrat . . . . . 30.61
           VOTER TURNOUT - BLANK . . . . . . .06

                          ********** (Democrat) **********

          GOVERNOR & LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
          (VOTE FOR) 1
(WITH 30 OF 30 PRECINCTS COUNTED)
           Albert Bryan . . . . . . . . . 3,331 39.23
           Allison "Allie" Petrus . . . . . . 2,859 33.67
           Angel E.
