While most of the territory’s beaches met the water quality standard deemed as safe by the Department of Planning and Natural Resources this weekend, three beaches in St. Thomas were cited as unsafe by D.P.N.R., while three on St. Croix and one on St. Thomas could not be tested.<\/p>\n
The three unsafe beaches are\u00a0Water Bay, Bluebeards and Secret Harbor. Those that could not be tested are\u00a0Stoney Ground, Princess Condo Row and Grapetree Bay on St. Croix, and Frenchman’s Bay in St. Thomas.<\/p>\n
As has been the case for some time, D.P.N.R. failed to explain why it did not examine the untested beaches.<\/p>\n
Safe beaches territory-wide are:<\/p>\n
St. Thomas:<\/strong> Magen\u2019s Bay, Brewer\u2019s Bay, Bolongo Bay, Lindbergh Bay, Lindquist, Hull Bay, Vessup Bay, Coki Point and Sapphire.<\/p>\n St. Croix:<\/strong>\u00a0Cramer Park, Shoy\u2019s, New Fort (Ft.
