CROIX &#8212; The Department of Education announced late Thursday that St. Croix Central High School will remain closed on Friday. Classes were dismissed early on September 6 as a result of a power outage caused by a small electrical fire in the kitchen, the department said.<\/p>\n<p>The cafeteria and major classroom wings were affected and remain without electricity. The electrical component required for repairs is expected to arrive on-island over the weekend and installed.<\/p>\n<p>D.O.E. said it will provide an update on the status of the school on Sunday.
