Devin Carrington, who served as the commissioner of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, was relieved of his duties today from the department, a person with firsthand knowledge of the matter has confirmed to this publication. Mr. Carrington did not follow other Mapp department and agency heads who either resigned or retired before being sent home by the Bryan administration.<\/p>\n

In his stead, Nathalie Hodge, who was assistant commissioner before Mr. Carrinton’s removal, will serve as acting commissioner.<\/p>\n

The Bryan administration has called a press conference for Tuesday at Government House on St. Croix, according to Press Secretary Richard Motta. There, cabinet heads are expected to be revealed.<\/p>\n

Mr. Carrington was the first pick of former Governor Kenneth Mapp for the commissioner position at D.L.C.A., and he lasted for the entire four years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
