Police on Friday arrested a 19-year-old man who was accused of raping a 10-year-old minor, V.I.P.D. Public Information Officer Glen Dratte has announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the V.I.P.D., the man, identified as\u00a0Ryheim Moncherry, was accused by a female individual of raping the minor on January 9, which was when she reported the incident to police. A warrant for Mr. Moncherry’s arrest was issued by a Superior Court judge on Friday, and the suspect was then placed under arrest by police officers of the V.I.P.D.’s Criminal Investigation Bureau. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Moncherry was charged with aggravated rape, first-degree rape and first-degree unlawful sexual contact, according to Mr. Dratte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Unable to post bail, the suspect was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advisement hearing. The V.I.P.D. release did not specify in which district the alleged incident occurred. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
