Fire Service Director Nominee Daryl A. George due to dry weather conditions, which have increased the risk for brush fires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All burn permits previously issued are hereby revoked, the release said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For additional information, residents and businesses may contact the Arson Investigation and Prevention Units (Prevention Units) in their respective district. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Prevention Unit in the St. Thomas\/St. John District can be reached at 340-774-7610, and the Prevention Unit in the St. Croix District can be reached at 340-773-8050.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Virgin Islands Fire Service on Thursday advised the general public that a burn ban is currently in effect throughout the territory.
