Held at the school, the purpose of the event was to show support to the numerous clothing brands manufactured by local Virgin Islanders, such as D.O.P.E.TM World, Apollo Legion, DPMNM (Don\u2019t Pay Me No Mind), Mugga Gang, Trap R&#8217; Us, Team Wally Kyat, M*I*S*T*, King and Queen, Drive King, #ForTheFam, and Stop Stressing Dawg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IEKHS senior Shania Farrington, coiner of the \u201cRep Your Local Brand\u201d Day, stated that she believes this would be a great addition because \u201cas soon-to-be graduates, we should seek every opportunity\u2014not only now, but for the rest of our lives\u2014to support and invest in the community that has done the same for us all our lives.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1242\" height=\"924\" src=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4358.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-74592\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4358.jpeg 1242w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4358-300x223.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1242px) 100vw, 1242px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The owners of these local apparel companies will were also invited to the school to interact with students about their entrepreneurial inspirations and accomplishments thus far. The activity is part of a week of senior events, referred to as \u201cSEN19R WEEK\u201d (Senior Week), organized by the seniors of the school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As one of the most anticipated events of the year, this week rewards students for their four years of steadfast and diligent studies, while also aids in creating lasting memories for seniors through a plethora of fun and hopefully memorable activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-74593\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353.jpeg 960w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353-150x150.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353-300x300.jpeg 300w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353-109x109.jpeg 109w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353-100x100.jpeg 100w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353-225x225.jpeg 225w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4353-240x240.jpeg 240w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior Week ends today and included such activities as the burial of a time capsule on school grounds to be uprooted in 10 years, which will be filled with words of encouragement for their future selves and their most tangible manifestation of their high school memories; an Elementary Day, where students returned back to their former primary schools and offer assistance to teachers; an Island Scavenger Hunt and Tour, to have students put their knowledge of our island\u2019s historical landmarks and information to the test; a Character Day, where students will dress as characters that have shaped their childhood and inevitably their lives; and lastly, a Color Run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1035\" height=\"1414\" src=\"https:\/\/viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4355.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-74594\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4355.jpeg 1035w, http:\/\/wp.viconsortium.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/IMG_4355-220x300.jpeg 220w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1035px) 100vw, 1035px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ivanna Eudora Kean High School (IEKHS) Class of 2019 held what it called a senior &#8220;Rep Your Local Brand\u201d day on Monday.
